Trip to Budeč
On Saturday, February 14th, we set off on a one-day trip focused on history. After some initial confusion (caused by an unusual meeting point), we successfully gathered on the bus: 3 leaders, 2 older youth members, and 22 children. The last child, Šíša, was waiting for us at the bus stop.
Our journey led from Malé Číčovice to Okoř, where the boys played a quick football match with another troop. After that, despite all the mud along the way, we continued on toward Budeč. On the way, we passed a former tramp settlement called “Colorado” and a summer tent campsite.
From Budeč, where a cold wind quickly drove us away, we continued to Zákolany, where we were pleasantly surprised by the local Masopust (traditional carnival) festivities. Then we boarded the train and headed home.
